For skilled, recent graduates, in this position you will have the opportunity to use your recently gained knowledge to rotate through four different positions within four different divisions, providing you with vast opportunities and great company exposure. These provide the opportunity for students to learn and engage with industry and to become better</p><p>informed about knowledge skills and qualities sought, and ultimately ensure their preparedness and</p><p>relevance to the opportunities the industry offers.</p><p><br></p><p>Hints and tips for engaging with students at a Careers Fair</p><p>\u2022 Staff with friendly people</p><p>Choose staff who are keen to engage, are outgoing, polite and have a ready smile to represent at</p><p>your stand.</p><p>\u2022 Think about the audience</p><p>Who are you trying to attract to your company? People are more comfortable to approach others</p><p>who are similar to them. This means that when you are on a university campus it can be very helpful</p><p>to have young employees attend the fairs. If students don\u2019t think they fit your organisational culture</p><p>they are less likely to apply.</p><p>\u2022 Be approachable</p><p>Encourage your staff to get out from behind the table to engage with students and get talking. It is</p><p>also not a good idea to be on your mobile phone and eating food.</p><p>\u2022 Stand out from the crowd</p><p>Make your booth stand out. Use large photos, charts, posters and make sure they are eye-catching.</p><p>The use of vibrant colour can also help make a great impression.</p><p>\u2022 Be engaging</p><p>Having videos or presentations available for students to watch can be a great tool to keep students</p><p>engaged, especially if they are waiting to speak to you. Be creative and memorable.</p><p>\u2022 Social media</p><p>Let everyone know you will be there beforehand by promoting it on social media using hashtags and</p><p>tagging UC. Try live streaming from the fair on Facebook, or post photos on Instagram while you are</p><p>there.</p><p>\u2022 Free stuff</p><p>Students like giveaways!
